I just bought a pair of KSOs and enjoy them on the soft dirt trails out of the city but the standard trails near my house are packed with a rough gravel that's uncomfortable, even painful. Do you think the Treks would be a substantial improvement?

As my story says, you should be a strong and experienced runner before putting these on for a jog. You have to run with a forefoot strike, not a heel-to-toe “roll.” They allow you to mimic a barefoot running style, though with some protection underfoot.

In all seriousness, I hate wearing any other shoes at this point and can see a time where all but my rockiest trail runs are done in my Sprints.
I just want them to make kids’ sizes so I can buy them for my children!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Vibrams! I have the magenta Bikilas that were built mainly for running. I haven't had blister problems and if they start to stink, just throw them in the washing machine Smiling

Awesome, I'm glad you're enjoying yours!! Mine are the same color Smiling I haven't tried mine with hiking, but I definitely want to. I love that they can get wet.
